Colonization did not merely arrive on Indigenous lands—it took everything.

But through violence, deception, starvation, rape, slavery, broken treaties, and genocide.
Land was stolen.
Languages were erased.
Children were taken.
Spiritual systems were demonized.
Entire nations were reduced to “obstacles” standing in the way of profit.
Colonization was never about civilization.
It was about extraction.
The Atrocities That Built the System
To obtain land, colonizers used tactics that today would be labeled crimes against humanity:

Deliberate spread of disease
Destruction of food sources to induce starvation
Enslavement, sexual violence, and forced labor
Boarding schools designed to “kill the Indian, save the man”
Broken treaties signed under coercion and then ignored
The land was declared “empty” only because Indigenous people were first erased or dehumanized.
Property laws were written by thieves, then used to justify the theft.
The wealth extracted from this violence built nations, industries, churches, and governments—while Indigenous communities were left with poverty, trauma, and broken promises.

Economic systems that profit from scarcity

Stealing from the Future
What colonization once stole by force, modern systems now steal from future generations.
Unsustainable mining and drilling destroy ecosystems beyond repair
Climate collapse threatens food, water, and habitability
Debt-based economies trap children before they are born
Education systems teach obedience, not truth
Political systems protect profit, not people
The same mindset that justified taking Indigenous land—“If we can take it, we deserve it”—now justifies taking tomorrow.
From forests. From oceans. From the air. From children who had no vote.
This is colonial greed reaching its logical conclusion:
Nothing left to steal except the future itself.
Built on Greed, Ending with Greed
The system was built on greed disguised as destiny, religion, and progress.
It continues on greed disguised as development, security, and growth.
Greed took the land.
Greed erased cultures.
Greed justified slavery and genocide.
Greed now consumes the planet.
A society that never made peace with its original theft cannot escape its consequences.
Until truth replaces myth,
